A friend rescues used fashion dolls which I
call Barbies even those without pastel m
magenta pedigree, a trademark slyly
inserted on the buttocks, (c)MATTEL,
if she is vintage; later models it’s
about the waist or lower back. To me,
Barbie is a state of mind. If permitted,
its long-legged plastic design will free
your temporality. Remain youthful
as your plastic progeny, equally
sacred without corporate brands, beautiful
but with a careless face, painted cruelly,
left behind for the tenderhearted to find
who know Barbie is a state of mind.
