How Many Eventually Paid For Me?

I’m funding my way out of religious abuse
with small town art modeling which does not
produce enough cash.  When prompted, I choose
the lewd, lucrative path in a southern hot
town famous for white beaches, showgirls
ecclesiastical wrath. This town is topless
clubs, Pentecostal revivals; world
tourists converged in Pensacola confess
their urge for God or something less — like me,
off duty, a cafe.  Do boobs, residual glitter
give me away?  Do braids I wear to tea,
on strip club runways point out a sinner
to tourists who flew here to pray for me?
How many eventually paid for me?
